Across the catalogue, colour gives way to cosmic forms, interwoven roots and landscapes shaped by the absence of water. Each theme offers a different way of looking at the same living universe.

Foglia opens into separate fields of colour and texture, then returns to the complete image. This is an interpretive digital reading of the painting.
The bands of Sorgere di una sinfonia move like a visual score: a browser-based interpretation paced by the painting’s own horizontal language.
The concentric forms of Il calice become a luminous threshold, drawing the eye through rings of colour and light.
Lines and particles approach from opposite fields, collide at the centre and release the energy already present in Collisioni 2.
Light travels along the fine roots of Connessioni radicali, revealing a living system that expands from one point to another.
Visioni marine 1 becomes a shifting field of channels, reflections and gentle currents moving across the painted surface.
The forms of Metamorfosi expand, contract and change their edges in a continuous cycle of transformation.
Points of light emerge above the curved horizon of L’alba della vita, gradually illuminating the space around them.

Three cinematic visual studies inspired by the colours, forms and material language of Giancarlo’s paintings. Each study is clearly distinguished from the original artwork.
A cinematic visual study that carries the light, blue field and radiant structure of Il fiore cosmico into an imagined spatial environment.
A cinematic visual study inspired by the green surface, red central vein and branching pink structure of Foglia.
A cinematic visual study that extends the horizontal chromatic rhythm of Sorgere di una sinfonia into a luminous imagined horizon.

An inner search, expressed through colour, light and the smallest details of nature.
Born in Frascati in 1965, Giancarlo Carnevale discovered his love of drawing at an early age. In 2002 he began painting in oils, initially favouring landscapes before exploring repetition and the close observation of individual objects.
His 2018 encounter with painter Luigi Bettini introduced acrylics into his practice and opened a new direction in abstraction. During the Covid period, his technique and expression developed further through commissioned paintings and his first portraits.
His later work combines materials, oils and acrylics to express his own vision of reality. In the catalogue’s curatorial reading, silence, roots, stones and leaves become points of connection between the inner world and the cosmos.
